The Bay Shore Wellness Alliance is a viable organization dedicated to improving the health and wellness of the students of Bay Shore. From its inception, dedicated staff and volunteers contributed their time and expertise to the founding of this collaboration:

Corey Alleyne- Former member of the Bay Shore School District Board of Education.

Murray Barbash- Trustee of Good Samaritan Hospital, Past Chairperson of Bay Shore Arts Endowment Foundation.

Rose Bonanno- Former Bay Shore Schools Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics.

V. William Caracci, M.D.- Former Director of Cardiology, Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center, Former Chairperson of the Bay Shore Wellness Alliance, Project Director of the Bay Shore Schools Wellness Centers, First Medical Director of Suffolk County Emergency Medical Services.

Michael Cohen- Former Bay Shore Schools Curriculum Coordinator, Former Superintendent of Brentwood School District.

Judy Cummings- Former Assistant Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics of Bay Shore School District.

Ronald S. Feingold, Ph.D.– Dean, School of Education & Former Chair Department of Health Studies, Physical Education and Human Performance at Adelphi University, Former President, American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.

Barbara Fishkind- Former Coordinator of School Community Services, Former Chairperson of Bay Shore-Brightwaters Summit Council.

Jean Geyer- Former Bay Shore Schools Director of Health, Physical Education and Athletics.

Rick Lazio, Former U.S. Congressman- Secured federal funding for the Wellness Center (21st Century Community Learning Center Grant).

Michael Masciello, M.D.– Cardiologist, past President of Southside Hospital Medical Board, co-founder of South Bay Cardiovascular Rehabilitation.

Ted Nagengast- Chairperson of Athletics of Bay Shore School District.

Roger Rees, Ph.D.– Professor, Department of Health Studies, Physical Education and Human Performance Science at Adelphi University.
