Color Splashed

Hello everyone!

After last year’s weather-related cancellation, the long awaited day of the “Bay Shore Color Splash Run” finally arrived. Over 150 participants, from grades K through 12, participated and the weather proved ideal! The goal of the Color Splash Run was to promote physical activity and the kids certainly displayed much enthusiasm as they circled the high school, their white BSWA shirts now splashed with many colors.

We would like to thank the members of the Bay Shore Wellness Alliance who dedicated their time and energy to make the Color Splash Run possible. Special thanks to Mr. Claude Kasman, Mr. Ted Nagengast, Ms. Melanie Hols, Ms. Georgeine Bellando, Mr. Adam Frimmer, Ms.Toni Borkowski, Ms. Jeanne Edwards, Ms. Mary Drago, Ms. Stasia, DeBonis, Ms. Regina Ochwat, Mr. Matt Ellwood, Mr. Michael Sutch, and the Administration and Board of Education for Bay Shore Schools for their continued support of our mission statement.

We count on the community with each event we sponsor and this event was truly a success, but in order to continue to sponsor events such as this one, we need you’re help! Our next meeting will be on Thursday, 6/11, at 2pm in H.S. Teachers’ Cafe. Teachers, students, and parents are encouraged to attend! We want to hear your ideas about what we should do next!

Again, thank you to everyone who participated in the Color Splash Run. Don’t forget to post your pictures! #BSCOLORSPLASH on twitter, Facebook and instagram.

Best,

Mariusz Borkowski and Kathleen Peterson
