Bay Shore Family Fun Day, Splashed!

Our Color Splashers conquered a new location on Saturday May 20th. The 3rd Annual Color Splash was held at the Bay Shore Marina.  The weather was windy and cold, but our Color Splashers were brave and mastered the 1 kilometer course. Runners were showered with colored powder at six stations along the run.

Over 30 participants from Bay Shore School District participated, ages ranging from kindergarten to 12th grade. Our amazing Athletes Helping Athletes, under the direction of Ms. Stasia Debonis and Ms. Mary Drago, volunteered to run the color stations and splash our runners. We think some had more fun than the Color Splashers!

As always, our Color Splash is a Fun Run, and we think all participants were winners that day! They have the colorful shirts to prove it.

We are so thankful to all of the community members who support the Bay Shore Wellness Alliance. Special thanks to Mr. Claude Kasman, Mr. Ted Nagengast, Bay Shore Athletic Sponsors, the Town of Islip, Administration and Board of Education for Bay Shore Schools for their continued support of our mission statement.
